can't get limewire 2.9.8 to uninstall

i dont understan why i can't uninstall this limewire v 2.9.8 every time i try it keeps sayin (error 1605 this action is only valid for products that are currently installed) but that dont make senes cuz i use the program it has to be installed how els am i useing the limewire i just want to know how to get rid of it so i can download the new'r v this 2.9.8 its begainin to bug me :confused: im useing windows 98
