![]() Is anyone else having the problem with whenever they go on limewire they get a unknown error and it shuts it down? Ever since last weekend no matter what I type into the search it doesn't return any hits and the error message saying limewire has caused an unknown error pops up. Read on the home page that it said to download 1.4b because 1.5 is having bugs and did that but still get the unknown error. I have really liked using limewire but now I cant use it so was wondering what happened is anyone else experiencing this problem or am I the only one? |

![]() No, LimeWire is not down for the count. I am using it right now, and everything works. It's just that you are having some type of software conflict on your machine. Hopefully, the re-released 1.5 will fix the problems you are having. But if you describe your problems in a little more detail, we might be able to help you out. Could you be a little more specific about the problem and let us know what operating system, hardware, etc you have? Then, we'll see what we can do. |

![]() You are not alone, I am recently having the same problem. At startup i receive an error message that says:Limewire has caused an error in <unknown>. Limewire will now close. If this problem continues please restart your computer. I have restarted my computer and the problem persists. Any thoughts? I am running Windows ME, PII 400mhz. Please Help |

![]() I am having the exact same problem.....I get the same error message. I have had limewire for 1 month now and it worked fine. Now just this week i get the error message....something has to be wrong with Limewire itself since other people are getting the same thing. I have limewire 1.4b and i never downloaded v. 1.5. I have Windows ME....has there been any fix to this problem? It seems that Limewire v. 1.4b and Windows ME are just now having a problem......it didn't start until this week. I have been told by others with this problem that reinstalling does not work. |

![]() It sounds like you folks are having problems with newdotnet.dll as mentioned in this forum: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&threadid=2205 Have you installed BearShare recently with the newdotnet.dll add-on software? Some other file sharing apps include this silently so it could have been one of those. If so, read the above forum for ideas on how to get rid of the thing. -greg |

![]() Hey! that was my problem thanks! I went to the control panel....add/delete programs..and then i deleted NewdotApplication. And so far LimeWire has been working great....if that doesn't work though then you need to run Ad ware on your computer...so far I am fine without it. Thanks again! |
