There is no such setting. LimeWire should do so automatically. |
Go to tools/options/saveing adjust the 'days to keep incomplete files' options. deepblue |
That is set to 60. I had a 150MB+ file almost completely downloaded - but lost it. It must be somewhere on my PC. Also, isn't LimeWire supposed to save searches in progress so that, next time I boot, those searches are still there? Maybe I'm wrong on this point. I'd sure like to find that large file that I've been trying to download for a month. |
I seem to be having a problem here. I reinstalled Pro and used the Repair feature - then all my downloads in progress came back. However, I can't remember if the searches in progress came back too. Are they supposed to? Is there a way to completely uninstall all traces of LimeWire - then reinstall? Thanks..... |
It doesn't make sense to save searches, - cause next time you start LimeWire the hosts you found are most probably not online anymore. Try resuming the incomplete file from the library or look for it in your incomplete/shared directories. |
There is indeed, - but all information is stored in the ".limewire" directory. It usually doesn't make sense to reinstall it but delete that directory instead. LimeWire does not save searches. |

It usually doesn't make sense to reinstall it but delete that directory instead. I'm confused: If I delete that directory, I lose all my current requested downloads. Then, I would have to reinstall the program. I'm having trouble interpreting what you are suggesting I do (and don't do). Thanks......... |
