Question All I get is "need more sources" why

I can try to download 1000 files, and all I get is "Need more sources". I'm using pro and sharing tons of files. What could be the problem?

This was a puzzle for me as well. I always assumed the hosts weren't online when I started LimeWire. The I did some playing around with File,Edit View.... buttons and came across options. Haven't figured out how to save these permanently so am resetting every time I fire up, but you can change your preferences from closest local searches to include anyone who is on line. Also, if you choose the downloads with the highest number of stars and the largest number of users you will have more success. Another thing I discovered today is once all the searches have run through and they all show need more sources, right click and force resume and in most cases it would find a source where there wasn't one five minutes ago. Hope this is a help.

Cool

Hi, I have the same experience as "Angles" - You need to go to "Tools" menu and then "Settings" to change e.g. if you want prefrencing on or off !! Or how many up- and downloads you will accept. In that menu you also change the settings for seach results - if you want only 3 and 4 star seach results or if you want all results and so on. Until 3 days ago I also had problems saveing my new settings. But as you can read in one of the other threads in this forum, a very kind LW user from Holland help me out with that problem. In the menu window that appear when you click "Tools" and then "Settings" there is an "apply" thing in your right down corner, if you can´t see it right away (like me !) then enlage the window with your mousepointer and it will appear right away. Hope you can use some of it - I´m a new LW member myself and I know how it sucks when the damm thing doesn´t work.......
