Limeshop & Norton Anti Virus

Norton shows LIMESHOP having ADWARE and that limeshop.exe is a risk. BUT it can't delete it.

I went to CONTROL PANEL and AD/REMOVE. It will not remove LIMESHOP. Limeshop has a help.txt that says:

Uninstall instructions
================================================== ======

(1) Go to Start ->>> Settings ->>> Control Panel.

(2) Double click "Add/Remove Programs".

(3) Click "LimeShop", then remove.

But that won't work. I ran SPYBOT and AD-AWARE but they dont pick up LIMESHOP. Any hints, clue, suggestions will be appreciated.

The new beta (details/links/discussion here) comes "with NO BUNDLED SOFTWARE." Perhaps installing it will remove the problem?

I have this very same problem. Someone must know how to get rid of this annoying LimeShop.

In my case I had installed the free version of LimeWire, but later purchased the Pro version, and thus uninstalled the other copy. I did also uninstall LimeShop, but still Norton AV finds it. There are no occurences of it in the registry. Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to manually remove this ?

Similar problem

I've had a similar problem with Norton. When I first installed Limewire/Limeshop, Norton detected and deleted "main" something or other and something like wjview. Not sure if these were withing the topmoxie adware it detected or not. But I can't delete Limeshop no matter what I do because it's missing the "main" and other stuff. I've tried uninstalling Limewire and the Limeshop folder in Program files in hopes that maybe when I reinstalled it, it would reinstall the stuff that's missing. But I still can't uninstall Limeshop. I still get the same error. Is there a way to delete everything manually? Or a way to install these missing files another way?
