Limewire closes before it starts?

I successfully download and install Limewire. But when I try to start the program, it opens, then closes within seconds.
Running Windows XP.
Any ideas what is causing this?

How are you seeing that it's opening and then closing -- viewing active processes, or does the actual GUI display and then disappear? If it's the former, it could be because a LimeWire is already running (and tells the second one to quit) -- check the system tray for a LimeWire icon, or go to Tools -> Options, Shutdown and tell LimeWire to shut down immediately. If it's the latter, I'm not sure what's wrong.

Limewire closes before it starts?

The Limewire window opens, then the Limewire Pro add window opens. Before we can clidk the later button, both windows disappear. I checked the Task Manager for processes, and found Limeshop.exe running, but not Limewire.
