Salut EllisD, compression shouldn't slow down your computer a bit, but it will eat 50% less bandwidth. The locale preference is the number of connections made to the same language UPs when running as a leaf. 3 is ok, 9999 has no purpose at all since the basic version of LW allows 4 connections as a leaf ;) Change that setting. Also, are you using the latest version of java (1.4.2)?
