playing certain video files

Hey what's up....when I go to play certain kinds of video files...it just won't do anything...even files that played before...now won't play...the files that aren't playing include asf, and wmv's....there could be more, that's just what I've noticed so far. When I hit launch or double click on the video...I see the hourglass for a brief moment and then it disappears and nothing happens....nothing BAD happens...like my computer crashing or anything....or limewire shutting down...the video just won't play that's all....can I get some help with this??

If this is in the wrong forum, then you must accept my apologies...I'm new to this forum....any help that can be offered for this would be greatly appreciated.

Hell, post here even if you can't...just so I know I'm not being ignored.

I'm unable to play any files as well in Limewire for some reason. I was able to up until yesterday, no files can be launched whatsoever, I tried to upgrade to 4.0 from 3.8 or whatever it was, but still, I can't play any mp3s, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the exact same problem,I just downloaded something succesfully and now it wont let me open it
