Default Limewire shutsdown

When I first downloaded 4.06 Limewire would load and after it had loaded then automatically shutdown.
When I upgraded to 4.07 this problem disappeared.
Then I went to upgraded to pro and it was stable for a day until 4.08 came out..

Now it loads and sits until I click on the tips box and seconds later closes.

I've uninstalled through windows, deleted the remaining directories reinstalled both 4.08 and 4.07 and it keeps shutting down. java reports I have the most current version..

two process report acivity as it shuts down crss.exe and explorer. I also think I noticed a blip on an instance of svchost.exe.

I've also tried disabling norton anti virus during and after install.

Any ideas?

Tuggboat,

Try opening - Control Panel, Java, then select the browser tab, uncheck IE and Netscape reboot and try it.

If that doesn't work I would try a different version of Java.

Good Luck,

Norm

you might also want to only stick to 4.07 since according to what I read you didn't have any problems with it before
