![]() My old version of LimeWire (1.6b) got damaged somehow, so I removed it & just downloaded the new 1.6d version. It seemed to successfully download, but won't run. Nothing happens when I click the desktop icon. I've tried removing it & downloading it again several times, still won't run. I'm using Windows 95, & the old version worked great. HELP! I miss my LimeWire!!! Last edited by janine; August 20th, 2001 at 04:14 PM. |

![]() I discovered my own solution to why I couldn't run the new 1.6d version. The download program for this new version is set to automatically download the correct version of java if you don't have it. The problem was that since my computer already had an older version of java, it did not download the updated java application. I solved this by hiding the old java on my computer and then installing the new 1.6d version of Limewire again. It worked & I'm up & running now! : ) |
