Limewire Shutdown Error!

I have a problem when upon shutting down Limewire, I get the following
error:

Limewire functions smoothly though, and ugrading to v1.4 hasn't helped
either. Is this a winsock related program because i have Netsonic Pro 3.0
and AdSub running in the background and i think their installation might
have messed with the winsock files, but i can't be really sure.

I'm running Win98SE, on a 128MB 450Mhz PIII system.
BearShare and Gnotella both don't have this problem. Help!

It sounds very much like some program messed with your winsock.dll. The vast majority of people don't have that problem.

Yep, same thing happens to me. Only since version 1.4b though. I just installed in on a fresh install of Win98se, and I still get the error. Other than that though, Limewire works great. It's more of an annoyance than a problem.

Found a fix for the shutdown error. It is a winsock prob. Check out the Microsoft Knowledge Base article #Q288133 for details. Basically, you need to delete and reinstall good copies of winsock.dll, wsock32.dll, and wsock32n.dll, then uninstall/reinstall DUN. Everything works fine after this.
