LimeWire won't run

i downloaded LimeWire and it said i didn't have the java thing, so it downloaded java 1.3.1. it then finished installing everything without any problems. but nothing happens when i attempt to load up LimeWire. any ideas as to why it won't it run? [the computer i'm using is running Windows 98 and i'm connected to the internet via AOL before i try to load up LimeWire]. thanks for any suggestions.
