Older version of Limewire?
 

Hey, I'm new here (obviously), and had a quick question. I just upgraded to Limewire 4.2.6, and saved the new installer over the old one. But on the new one, it doesn't let me do specific searches for band and song names, where I could on the old one. Does anyone have a copy of the old installer, or know a way to fix this on the new one?

Are you sure you are using the Audio search option?
You should be able to search any combination of Title, Artist, Album, Genre plus More Search Options.

If these do not appear, I suggest you uninstall and reinstall LW.

Yeah, i figured it out. It was only for Rage Against the Machine songs. Maybe too many words in the name? I don't know I still like the older version more.

lastdrummist, apparently Limewire doesn't like very long names. I recommend you use the latest version because of bug fixes and program enhancements.

You can search for 'rage against machine' instead and Limewire will allow that. You will still receive 'Rage Against the Machine' results. You can use this name shortening technique if you're searching for other long song/artist names.
