Unhappy HELP--can't view video downloads

I have Windows XP. I've downloaded two videos from Limewire and cannot view them.

When I try to view "The Incredibles Full...avi" on windows media 10 I get a message that reads "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more Codecs required to play the file could not be found."

When I try to view "American Beauty [DVDrip, Divx] (again on wmp 10) I hear it, but can't see it. While queing it up the wmp trailer says something @ an error, but it moves so fast its unreadable.

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you need xtra codecs: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html & always to be on the safe side have a back up player: VLC (a free player with in-built codecs & can play everything xcept the odd wmv file - the controls lacking a bit ... but) http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose the nearest mirror site to you.)
