Regarding Monitor

What is the msg "Your client is leaf node shielded by an ultrapeer. Hence you will see few or no searches in the monitor window." when I check the show box on in coming searches.

I see search entries scrolling as fast as I can read them.

ultrapeer mode is where they sort of speed up 56kers searches i think

It means you're on the outer fringes of your "tree" structure, where the Ultrapeer is the trunk, Peers are the branches and you're a leaf. Since all the leaves are talking directly to other leaves, only the ones who cast searches on your branch will show in your monitor screen.

I'm new to gnutella, but that's as I understand it. I could be way off.

Thanks for the replies.

I am a new user, but my connections windows shows 3 ultrapeers as connected hosts and zero of the other choices. That look right?

What can I do to get better search results and faster speeds?
