Buggy App and Video on nVidia Cards...

People with nVidia cards, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about...

Screen behavior is VERY buggy, overlapping buttons from different application and resolution sizes and video is all buggy......

It also causes a major slowdown of my machine, I set the "Affinity" to only one virtual CPU, and it helps a little.

My machine should not be the problem as I'm 3.2 GHz P4, GIG of PC3200 RAM and a nVidia 6800 card.

I run 3 different anti-spyware tools every night along with virus and defrag often.

I'm on a 6800 and I think I've traced this poblem to Java.

Somehow, find 1.3.1.15, as everything is fixed w/that version, although your icons within LM for different media will be different....

Upgrading to something in the 1.4 area screwes it up, and 1.5 is the worst so far.

Hope this helps..

Did you check to see if there's an update to the nVidia support soft. Check their website.

BUMP,

Issue still not resoved with new nVidia drivers, and upgrading Java just causes the problem...there has got to be SOME fix...others get this too. :/

Hmmm some members have had problems with ATI Radeon series display adapter drivers and java.

They have fixed the problem by rolling back there drivers to the previous version.

Don't know if this will help you are not though.

Let us know.

I also have consistenly had trouble with me Nvidia GeForce card (just installed new Detonator drivers from Nivdia's website 3/11/05) and LimeWire.

I can't view any video while Limewire is running. I just get audio. I have to close it to get my video back. Also I've seen the graphics for limewire get garbled several times in the past 6 months I've used it.

Anyone have a solution to this?
