LimeWire starts, but window won't open

A few days ago my LimeWire Pro started not working. I would open the program but the window will not display. I see LimeWire in the task bar as it would look if it was minimized, but it will not restore. I have tried everything I have read to remedy this, but nothing is working. I decided to see if it was just LimeWire Pro, so I tried using LimeWire 4.2 and the same thing happened. If anyone has advice on how to fix this it would be much appreciated. Just to add, the day before this all started someone had been tampering with my computer but i have no idea what they did, if they did anything.

Thanks, but my problem isn' t that nothing happens when I double click, but that it loads and opens but then the window won't show up. It only shows up on the task bar but shows it running if I hit ctrl+alt+delete.

hmmm don't know, but the experts may need more information. I f you would provide the following information it would probably help them.

Operating System
Machine type
etc.

The more information you provide the better for them.

Try the new LW 4.4 (LW 4.2 had some bugs.) My guess is it's a Java issue. LW 4.4 will force you Java to be at least version 1.4.2
