I trusted you, and am I glad I did! I'm not sure if it's the latest version that has had the effect, or the newer Java version, but everything is just great.

The display problems that started this thread are all cleared up, I can use my scroll wheel and even the Page Up/Down keys work.

The search in the new LimeWire seems much better. Immediately before installing this version, I did a search of The Next Time by Cl*ff R*ch*rd and the results (screen grab attached) found 47 entries, only one of which included Cliff Richard. The latest search found 87 entries, all but one were of Cliff.

I know that the numbers and content are going to vary depending on the time of your search, but the difference was just amazing.

All the best,
Chris P (it really is time for bed now)

PS I obviously haven't grasped how to include pics with this forum, nothing seems to have come through:o

I'm trying to understand the purpose of your edit on my last post Oh-mighty one. I know that Cliff is not everyone's cup of tea, but I wasn't aware of it being a forbidden subject. What am I missing here?

Regards,
Chris P

Thanks for the response fabion, but the picture has become more muddled.

I certainly wasn't querying the right to edit my post, especially in the manner used, just trying to work out which House Rule was broken, so that I don't do it again.;) Perhaps I should just let it rest there.

Regards,
Chr*s P

It was the point about mentioning the downloads of copyright material. You can discuss the issue without necessarily mentioning the name of the file itself. Just that it's a song for example. Somebody might google that artist & end up here which is not very healthy for the forum. Particularly if it's the wrong people who googled it. ;)

Thanks for that - now I understand. Have a good day.
