no play lyst

I had a bunch of songs at the bottom of limewire. In a box called play list. Now the box isn't there. What do I do?

EIther of 2 things. This happened to me 2 days ago.

1. Close LW & delete your LW Preferences folder. See intructions here about where to find it: Fixes for Limewire In my case I rebooted windows after deleting the LW Prefs folder before re-opening LW.

2. Wait until LW 4.4.4 comes out in the very near future (probably coming days.) It fixes a bug in regards to monitor resolutions set to 800 x 600 See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...392#post119392 in regards to a 3rd solution.

Thank you,but

That did the trick. The first solution. But my songs are gone.: ( :( Is there a way to get them back? I was saving them to download later.

The songs are gone or the playlist is gone? They will still be on your computer! If you create a playlist it's a good idea to save it if you want to use it again. And remember you can import LW's playlist into other players that use playlists.

Use your operating system search engine & you'll find where they are. Search for the name of one of them or if you can't remember, then search for .mp3 ;)

Oh yes I forgot by deleting your preferences folder your save & shared folders will be forgotten by LW. I normally suggest people to make a note of their settings before they delete the LW preferences folder. Well it will mean you will need to search to find which was your LW downld folder. Normally it's in the same directory as your incomplete folder. So search for your 'incomplete' folder & you'll find it. By default it's normally called 'Shared'. As for any other folders you might have been sharing, well you'll need to sort that one out. Probably ones that have mp3's in them.

Umm if you search for incomplete you will find the directory location. That is what you need to direct LW to when you reset your LW download folder (Tools>Options>Saving.) But before you do, click on the directory in the search results & then double-click Shared & you'll find your files.
