Doesn't let me PREVIEW video files with some % downloaded.

Ok, when I download music it let's me preview it with some % downloaded. Now when I download any type of video file it does NOT let me preview it even if it has some % downloaded. I have WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER and that's all i need to preview the video files I download. I double click on the file I'm downloading with some % downloaded and it does nothing. Now when the file completes i STILL can't preview the file using the Limewire screen. So what i do is click on the "EXPLORE" button and from there i double click on the video file i want to view, but then it tells which program to use so from there i click on the WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER and then i can view the file.

By the way, before i would not have to be going through all this, i would just click on the file to preview it and didn't matter if it had 1, 12, or whatever % and it would let me preview it. I'm using Limewire 4.4.4 with the Java Web Start. It's a cup with some flames going up.

If I were you, I would download VLC @ http://videolan.org/vlc/ Then I would open with VLC the incomplete files in incomplete folder.

Bonne chance

At the bottom of that box. You will see a box you can check. That box when checked will always use that player for that type of file.

LimeWire isn't a video player. It uses one that is installed on your system, but If you don't associate the player to a particular file type. LimeWire doesn't know which one to use, so does nothing.

Just another thought.

Windows self-extracting package:

Which ever one is closet to you, or which ever one you like. It is the same program on all the sites I believe. They are just mirrors of the original.

Usually you pick the mirror that is the closest to your location. It normally helps to get the fastest download speed. You'll get the same thing with any mirror though.

Ciao

Edit: Fabion is too fast for me!
