Saved Files and Downloaded Files

What's the difference? I download files to 'Single Artists' folder, but everything is also listed in the 'Saved Files' folder, which also shows every file in the folder (e.g. artwork and *.ini files).

Is there a point to this I can't see, please?

Before LW started doing this, so many people were complaining that their downlds were not listed in the Library window. Not everybody shares their downld folder (generally called 'Shared' by default.) So LW brought this concept in. You'll notice also that these items are probably coloured red meaning they are not being shared. The Saved Files folder is purely an psuedonym for the LW downld folder alias Shared folder.

Personally I think it's a great idea. There's lots of people who don't even know what their downld folder is called. lol

Thanks for that, and now I understand. I take it I can't remove that folder, then, and just keep the 'Single Artists' folder?

To my knowledge the Saved Files folder cannot be removed. I wouldn't be too fussed about it though. I know where you're at about it.

Just as a side issue, I use iTunes & have the iTunes library folder as a shared folder so all music is arranged via artist with album sub-folders. I know iTunes is not the only app that does this but just a thought. And it's free.
