Any Way To Increase Connections/Hosts?
 

Is there any way to increase connections/hosts in LimeWire or LimeWire Pro?

These are preset at 3 for LW Basic & 5 for LW Pro. However if you run as a UP then your connections will be greater. Only LW will know if you are capable of this (& so long as the option is not disabled.)

I'm always set to leaf. Is there a way to force being an ultrapeer?

LW decides itself when or if you are both capable & ready to run as a UP & if the Gnutella network needs it at that time. (Of course there's an option under Tools>Options>Speed to disable UP.) So there's nothing you can do really except optimise LW.

Earlier today, for the first time, there were approximately 20 to 30 hosts under my connections tab and my downloading speed increased dramatically. Then all of a sudden they dropped down to 5 again. I can't figure out why this happened, I did not change any settings anywhere.
