Sudden Reboot

When I am running limewire pro, out of the blue my computer will just reboot itself. It's happened at different times, and it only happens while limewire is running; any possible clue why this would happen?

When was the last time you did a virus-scan.

You do have a firewall that is properly configured don't you, or do you leave your computer open, so someone else can take control and shut it down for you.

Yea man, I do virus scans and spyware scans all the time, it only happens when I run limewire.

Try deleting your LW preferences folder; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire

If it still happens, after you open LW go to Task manager & see if there's more than one Limewire listed.

Also check your video card & tell us which one you have. See if there's any updates for the drivers available.

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. HDD space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
8. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...)

Ooh, it just finally happened without me having limewire running. Sorry for the hassle but it's only ever happened while LW was running until now.

As I suggested, check your video card drivers. This is a common reason for this type of issue. It might not be that. But if it's not a virus or something then I'm not sure.

What type of computer (cpu) do you have. There's a chance the cpu may have an issue. I remember there was an issue with one model that needed a particular update to fix it.
