I hope this is ok.

1. Force IP instructions & sample image & 2 posts after that. (EDIT: Force IP is the old settings for earlier LW versions, check post #5 instead!)

2. Find a proxy number: Proxy Lists

3. Tools>Options>Advanced>Proxy (see example below)
(a) Tick required proxy version; v4 or 5. (b) Type in proxy no. Below is only an example! (c) Type in 3380 in the port (d) Click Apply button & OK.

4. Go to menu File>Connect. (If already connected, select disconnect, then go back a minute later & select Connect.) And give it some time to connect. If

5. (Optional): (a) Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls (untick force ip.)
(b) Tools>Options>Advanced>Proxy (tick No Proxy & then Apply.) This last step is to maintain connection for a long period. But see how you go 1st to see if you lose connection & need to do this step.

You won't believe this.

I just had finished doing that when you replied to my post!But more importantly it works! I don't really know how legal this is though it seems like I'm stealing bandwidth?

NeOteric was pretty much right in his instructions though I found a site with a long proxy list and a checker as well I went through like five or six proxies before I found a good and fast one.

IS THIS LEGAL??

Xcellent. Could you at least leave some links (rather than copy paste whole explanation.) Links for explanation & proxy site. :) :cool:

I'm not sure about the legality of it. I believe it is legal to use proxies but under what circumstances I'm not sure. Game users sometimes suffer same issues & can find proxy references at their sites.

this site works really good because you can check if each proxy works as you look through them.

This guy is better at giving directions then me so just use the sight I found with his instructions.
