Search Problem

I have an older version of LW because the newer one would have something wrong w/ Java. Now all of a sudden when want to search for something, I type in the Artist or Song or w/e, and when I tell it to search, the window that displayed what it has found turns grey. I upgrades to 4.8.1 and Updated Java to 5.0. I tired to search for something and the box turned grey again. Basically now, I can't search for anything anymore. Please Help.

Hmmm not sure do you have an ATI Radeon Display Adapter.

You can try the steps in this link. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=34585

If you do have a Radeon display adapter. You can try rolling back the drivers to version 5.1.

You can search(upper right) for --- peacec ---- in the member search field. He rolled back the drivers and fixed his problem that way.

Best of luck

Searching Problems

I have just had my computer cleaned up and XP Professional installed with XPService pack 2. I backed up LimeWire and I have reinstalled it and upgraded to the latest version. I cannot open the search facility.

Greetings AnneH

Would you be a little more specfic?

Did you install the latest version of Java. It doesn't come pre-installed?

Hi AnneH

Yes it does. Thank you.

You are running an old Version of Java. I would suggest you upgrade as soon as possibble to JRE 1.5.0_01.

If you search(upper right) for -- Java --- or --- JRE --- you will find a link to the newest version.

Best of luck

Try this: Fixes for Limewire It's sort of like a headache pill for LW! lol :D

Go to LW's menu Help>About LW... it will tell you the version of Java.
