Deleting Files from Incomplete Folder When I delete files from my Incomplete folder they go to the recycle bin..of course. I next go to my recycle bin and click empty recycle bin...it then deletes all of the files that were in my incomplete folder, however, there appears to still be something in the recycle bin. So to check this I click on empty recycle bin again and it says.."Are you sure you want to delete 'WINDOWS'?" This file/folder doesnt appear in the recycle bin, I can't see it, but its in there. The only way that I can get this out of the recycle bin is to Run a system restore and restore my computer to a previous time to before I attempted to delete the files from my incomplete folder. This happens every time I delete files from the incomplete folder, and I have tested it, and it doesn't do this when I delete files from anywhere else on my computer.....so it has something to do with the LimeWire Incomplete folder. Any help you could offer would be great. Thanks Steve |
If LW isn't open you shouldn't have any problem. Your OS probably considers they're still in use if you're trying to delete them whilst LW is still open. Somebody in the OSX section suggested you should 1st delete them from LW's download window before deleting them from the incomplete folder manually. This sounds like a good idea. Go to LW's download window & click on the top of the Progress column. You incompletes that are 0% will then be listed down the bottom. Select the 1st 0% file & scroll down to the last one on the list with the SHIFT key held. Now press the stop button. Then manually delete them from the incomplete folder. |
