Getting files from media player playlist into limewire
 

Ok i have several songs i want to share and cant seem to get them from media player to limewire. I have to put them somewhere so i created a folder for them in my documents and then put them in a playlist and saved it to that folder- my problem is that limewire doesnt see them when i search for them to add to my shared files. The format is wpl and i have even tried to rename them with new extension w4u and it still doesnt see them . Any suggestions???? Thanks a Bunch - AzsThumpr

Sorry i forgot my os info: My os is Windows Xp Professional and i have the newest Limewire installed but only the free version not paid!!!! AzsThumpr

I don't think LW is normally into sharing playlist files. What you'd need to do is direct LW to the original files. A playlist is simply a reference file that points to where the songs are but doesn't actually contain the songs. Also I think LW's media player could be limited as to the playlists it can utilise.

Just a suggestion & make of it as you will, but how about iTunes which will give you the choice of sharing songs of an artist or album since it organises songs that way. For an example see: Albumwrap/iTunes By the way iTunes can open & import LW's media player's playlists & songs.
