Transering files from LW to downloads on desktop
 

Hello. I'm new to LW. I'm using windows xp. My problem is that I can't seem to tranfer files From limeWire to "my downloads" on my desk top. It was easy with bearshare. All I had to do was Drag files from bs and put them into my document in my downloads. LimWire wont let me do that. Why? Can someone please help me with this?

No it's not a good idea b/c Your incomplete folder needs to be at the same directory level. Instead either create a shortcut to the LW downld folder or just go to LW's library window, select the Saved Files folder & press the Explore button & this will open the folder up for you. Easy!!! ;)

The problem I am having is that I am unable to create a shortcut with the new version, I was able to with the older one, any hints???

If your running XP, here's what you do
If your the adminstrator on your pc do this:
Start/MyComputer/Local Disk (C)/ProgramFiles/Limewire - find the Shared folder, right click on it and "Send To" Desktop (creata shortcut) and there you go!
