Huh?

Well, it's been awhile since I've used LimeWire. But a couple of days ago I downloaded the latest version. After installation, it would NOT run...I would double click the icon to run, but nothing would happen. Trust me when I say...that I have the very latest of all version of apps for my pc. I keep a constant update of everything on my PC.

So, I uninstalled the program and downloaded it again. Same problem! I did this 3 times with same results.

Any clues?

My specs:
Windows XP Home SP2
512 mb sdram
AMD Athlon 1600+
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Java 1.5.0.2

clixoring??

Whats that? If you mean re-make an alias from it, already did that. If you mean try running it from the original .exe file, already did that too.

Thanks for input.

No Luck!

Just to let you guys know...

I rolled back both my video driver and Java to the earlier versions. With no change.

I am really dissapointed at this time...LW apparently knows of this issue and others like it, you think they would mention it and at least say they are working on a fix.

Well I'm putting my drivers back to the latest version. And hopefully LW comes out with a new version, or a patch to fix this problem.

Also, bpmax why can't you just say what that perticular word means instead of being an ***?

Thanks for everyone else that gave it a try.

Hmmm not sure but some users have set the Direct 3D to default, and Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering to program preference.

This has worked on ATI series Display Adapters to correct the problem. I suspect your NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Display Adapter has similar settings. Might think about seeing if that makes any difference.

Just a thought.

Microsoft?

fabion ... thanks 4 the help, all the NVIDIA settings r set to application control, always have been.

The only thing I can think of.... about 4 to 6 days ago before I decided to run LW to get a file I was looking for, MS had major updates. I decided to allow these updates to install. Other than having the latest versions of all my programs that's all that has changed.

Thanks.
