Virus / Worm! Alert!!!!!

HEADS UP FOLKS!!!

If your looking for movies BE CAREFUL!! I ran my virus scan and it did not detect anything. However!

I was searching for a movie Kill Bill Vol2. I put the title in the search engine, clicked video and under "TYPE" I clicked on DVD movie. SO FAR SO GOOD!

As I was going down the list of movies I happened upon one title that said "PARIS HILTON HOME MOVIE". I clicked on it and clicked download, It was added to my downloads.....

HOWEVER IT IMMEDIATELY CHANGED TITLES TO SOMETHING WITH "CHRISTMAS" IN THE TITLE.
I then decided to delete it. THAT'S WHEN THE HORROR BEGAN!!!

When I clicked on it to delete it, it denied me access!

A short time later my pc "CRASHED" WOULDN"T LET ME REBOOT and "EVERYTHING" on my computer was lost!!!!!

Hope this saves all of you some REAL grief!!!!

By the way! Can anyone explain if I can download Win********!

.Read the forum rules before you post and btw do you really think it is safe to download a OS ?
I woundn't take any chances with that

Thank You

Ignorance on it's own is a very dangerous thing. When it is combined with panic, well you've seen the result. I thank you for your advice and am all the wiser for it now. From this point forward I think maybe "Silence" would be my best bet.

Many Thanks

What extension did this movie have?

Dear exumab

You say you downloaded the "PARIS HILTON HOME MOVIE", I would like to know what file extension did it have, e.g. mpg, wmv, avi, etc.

And, if you can remember, what size was the file and how was it depicted, i.e. was it shown in kb (kilobytes) or mb (megabytes)?

The answers you supply will help more than the name of the file because if there is someone out there planting viruses in files it will be in a file of a certain type and size, you can change a file name to anything.
