I just downloaded Limewire. When I go to search for a song, I can't read the results without highlighting the name, and can't see it either in the downloads part at the bottom. Any ideas?

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up:
1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)
2. What firewalls you have?
3. ram?
4. Hard Disk space available?
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)
6. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
7. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.
8. Who is your isp provider?
9. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

Unfortunatly I dont know much about computers.. but I have Windows XP, dialup internet (from home), Limewire 4.8.1 and Java 1.4.2_05. It's my first time using LW.

Try deleting your LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed & also updating your Java to 1.5, see: Fixes for Limewire (by the way, uninstall Java 1.4.2 using Add/Remove Programs control panel, then download the 1.5 & save it to your computer - don't install over the net. Then install Java 1.5)

Thanks, turns out all I needed to do was change the theme

lol hahaha ... apparently some themes can sometimes do strange things ... best to re-open LW sometimes if changing theme I think.
