hmmm not sure google -- G-Spot --- I think it will tell you which codec is needed to play certain files.

I does not tell me, when I ask for web help it just says that I need to download a codec. I tryed opening it in realplayer and quicktime but it would not do it. Thanks for your help...

Download the following codec pack and WMPxx will work for most of the simple problems you are having. Read the page and download the codecs and you'll be happy that everything works for you now. There may be a stray codec here and there you'll need in the future but this should work for most.

K Lite Codec Pack
