Video playback with Limewire running While Limewire is running I can't play back video files without having problems. The file would either playback choppy at first and freeze my computer 2 minutes into the viewing or just freeze right off the bat and I'll have to wait 2 minutes to "regain" control of my computer and shutdown the video to prevent the freeze from happening again. Also, any sites that contain an embedded video of any type will also freeze my computer. All of this happens while Limewire is open/running. Once I shutdown Limewire everything plays fine, whether it's a file on my computer or an embedded video on a site. Some of you might say to shutdown Limewire then play the video, which is what I do now, but If there's a particular file I need then I'm basically handicapped while I retrieve them. I never had this problem with Limewire before until I re-installed it after a format of my HD. So maybe there's a feature in java/limewire that was added that I can disable? Please help. |
Hmmm just a thought what video display adapter do you have? Some have had problems with the ATI catalyst. You can check out these links. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=37538 and http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=37538 |
