Stuck at "loading user interface".
I have uninstalling and reinstalling Java, I have tried uninstalling Limewire (and reinstalling it), I have tried reinstalling an older version of Limewire, I have changed the compatibility to Windows 2000.

Until now, Limewire has been working for a couple of years.

Now I can neither reinstall nor use Limewire.

I have pored over the forums, any more ideas-- is there something I have missed?

I can see why people get angry on these forums. I looked all through them and tried everything I found, every idea, several times. To think I actually PAID for this thing when I got it.

you must uninstall java 1.5
and install java 1.4
this is a java issue not an limewire

I was getting just the Limewire loading window, which was blank. I tried various flavours of Java. In the end I discovered it was a graphics card/java problem.

I have an ATI Radeon 9600 card. In display properties try changing the Direct 3D performance or quality properties and hit apply while Limewire is hung. I find whichever I change to, Limewire then displays and loads!
