LW's media player can sometimes have that problem if LW is very busy downlding, etc. So what you can do is go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Player & uncheck the option to use LW's media player. I'm not sure if you need to restart LW, but after that your default audio player will play them instead.
BTW this thread topic is about viruses. Your topic is different.  But the thread title does seem to justify your posting here.
