no sound! Help ME! I cannot for the life of me get any mp3 file to play out of lime wire! I've got sound thru Windows media player but not thru limewire's player!? Am I missing something? I am even having problems trying to switch the player to Windows media player!? |
If you want to swap LW's media player over to WMP, then go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Player & untick option & press apply. But you will need to re-open LW before it takes effect. One of the problems with LW's media player is if LW is too busy downlding & uplding & searching, then the player may suffer. |
Alright! I got the player to switch over but still no sound!? I can get cd's to play thru my drive but no sound from this program!! It looks like it is playing!? ack!:( |
When you disable LW's media player then everytime you launch or preview or play a song from LW, then WMP should open & play it. If WMP is not playing it with any sound, then it looks like a comp system setting somewhere needs adjustment. |
how do I figure that out!? I have windows 98. I have tried to run the sound troubleshooter but after the first question the screen comes up blank. Seems like no sounds are playing? |
I just had a thought that perhaps the problem is not LW or WMP, but the files themselves. See: T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes And see how long those songs go for. If it's 20 mins for a song that should go for 4 or 5 mins then you know it's corrupt. |
I think it is my default master volume control!? Everytime I play a song on WMP if I run sndvol32 on windows it shows my wave level at the bottom of the slide. No matter how many times I change this it goes back! How can i re set this or is this something that happens when you download the song?? |
