here I come with another question:

In my shared folder i have around 36 files, some of them are downloaded, some other I decide to put them there to share.

In the green box of LW, it shows 169. I think that means I am sharing 169 files. That amount became big while I was having the virus im my PC, now should I delet them?... where are they really located??

Scan them with your AV. Are they zip files? If yes, then delete them. Check their sizes & compare them to the sizes listed in the link above. These zips will multiply.

The think is that I can see the number 169 at the left bottom of LW, if I place the mouse over there it say "you are sharing 169 files".

but I dont have that amount of files in the share folder, and then I dont know what files those are, neither where they located are!

Is there a way to know it?

PD. If there is something that doesnt make a sense, try to get it!, English is not my native lenguage

Go to your LW Library window. This window shows which folders you're sharing. You can use the Explore button to look at what's in each folder. Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) But that's for the Saved Files folder. You can use the explore button on any of the others. The saved files folder is not itself shared, but the "Shared" folder is. Saved files folder is purely a reference folder within LW to show you what your most recent downlded files are. Sorry if that sounds confusing. BTW if you speak spanish, there's a Español section on the forum: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumd...ne=&forumid=79 & backmann is the best person to speak Español with.

humm...

I got to see something extrange in a folder called UPLOADS.

There are 170 zip files, I have no idea where they came from, I mean, I have dowload only music no zip files.

I will not open them, they will be deleted right away. Right?

Yes you should delete them asap. Double-check your system over to make sure you don't still have any virus.

Do you have these utilities: 1. ad-ware (FREE), & also 2. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE),
3. Keep your AV & firewall active.
4. It might be worth talking to Norbie here http://www.norbiesworld.co.uk/Downloads/c=2.html

I am having the same problem that a few users in this thread are. When I get the task manager up, there is no process that is taking up space, and thusly I can't find anything on the Registry Editor. Limewire still pops up and then I get a bagillion files downloaded into my "Complete" folder.

Any advice would be appreciated.

 My only question is what if you don't have any files that have the name, "Winupdate(s)" in it. The only one near that file name that I found was swupdtr.exe. Thanks to the list of how to get the virus off that was prepared by kc0rkx_finch
, I was able to stop limewire from poping up all the time, and remove all of the zip files that messed up my system. But I still cannot access my Task manager using ctrl+alt+del. Also when I go into my Registry Editior, there are some files that it won't let me delete. I still get a Virus warning from my anti-virus software when I boot up as well though, (AVG-FREE edition). Does anyone have any more ideas that could help me, I will be very much appreciative. Thanks!
