Downloaded programs

Don't know a lot(obviously) so please help me.

After I have downloaded programs ( i.e games/spy sweeper etc) how would I be able to open them. What specific program do I need?

Remember you can't talk about wares on this forum. It's strictly forbidden. Forum Rules (click here)

Most such files are zipped or rar. So you'd need winzip, winrar or stuffit expander to uncompress them. Then run the exe installer. But do a virus scan before you touch them ... even before uncompressing them.

Thanks for your help. Sorry about that.

I was jsut wondering whether there are any free programs that I can use to open then?

I now stuffit expander is free. The expander is free but the stuffit part is shareware i think.

I really am sorry for troubling you and thank you for your help.

...There's just one thing, I downloaded winzip but I am not sure what I have to do :)

Once again, sorry for the inconvinience

I don't use winzip. I do have winrar. Open Winzip & direct it to your files to uncompress. Press the File>Open & direct it where your files are.
