Same here If you use the 4.8 version it will Try a different one |
can anyone elaborate? it just sucks that i cant view anything to see if its corrupt or not. i was able to do it before but just cant figure it out now |
this is getting very rediculous, ive had to reformat my software (not destructive) because of this it got stuck and i had to do a cold shut down. when i booted up again all i got was that there was an error shutting down. it gave me some options, i tried all of them and nothing. so finally i was left with no choice but to reformat. and its starting again. just yesterday it happened again and i got all these weird looking blocks on my screen. wth i guess im just gonna get rid of this thing its not even working anymore anyway. and no help to top it off LOL wow this blows |
It might be a graphics card issue; see General Windows sticky & check the blank screen issue. Else try the Beta LW 4.9.1 It might be a codec issue. Free-Codecs.com |
no still not working. i took a pic with my digital camera so u can see how it looks. when i press to restart it momentarily goes back to normal  http://img82.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hpim01613uf.jpg |

Try a different player such as VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site) & if it doesn't occur with VLC then it looks like a WMP issue. VLC makes a good backup player anyway b/c it has its own internal codecs. Here's what it can play http://www.videolan.org/vlc/features.html |
how do i make it so that when i want to preview the video it opens this player instead of the wmp? |
it does that zoom in thing for me too but thats when im not doing anything but downloading and not viewing any files. |
It would mean you'd need to make VLC the default. See Setting Default video app |
so theres basically no fix for the windows media player? |
still doing it even with vlm LOL, the only way i can watch the videos is by closing limewire |
still nothin lOl |
Which version of Java are you using? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. You can also do this test http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp What graphics card model & version of driver are you using? |
hey thanks for tryin to help me out. well ive installed that java 1.4 i think 1.4.2 something like that and im using LW 4.8.1 i also tried the beta version and still happens. it only happens when limewire is on. umm im using a xfx 6800 GT i've tried like 6 different different driver versions. 77.72, 77.30,77.50. right now currently im running the beta 80.40 version. |
2 things bout your XFX GeForce 6800: 1. See Bad Video Playback Picture 2. See The way to fix the Blank screen on startup; adjust d3d to default. Xtra: 3. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/arch.../f-5-p-27.html 4. results |
Yeah its still doing the same for me too. Also when im not doing anything like the whole thing is blurry and like theres a wierd glitch were everything in the Lime Wire browser turns into like this colorful pattern then when i minimize it and bring it back up again its clear then itll turn back to all that mest up look. |
still nothing, still doing it. i dont know what to do now |
Im also running a 6800 (not a gt, standard) its a eVGA one tho..i think this is a 6800 driver issue... |
