Mac8457 is flying high
Unhappy Error message

Whenever I startup Limewire I get a message saying Limewire was unable to write a necessary file etc. and that my preferences may not be saved. I searched the forum and checked the settings like everyone said. I am the admin of my comp, and my files are not "read only". I have also done a clean install. So how may I remedy this situation?

Are you using LW 4.8.1?
Try changing your LW compatibility mode to win 2k (see point 4 in link below.) Also try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire
