sorry about that here are the specs in the above order.

windows xp
p4 2.8ghz
512 mb memory
100 gb hard drive
cable connection
had version 4.8 and problem started uninstalled and downloaded 4.9
java was just updated to 1.5.4
windows firewall(but was disabled)
norton anti virus.
have used limewire for 2 years mabe more or a little less.
When limewire is installed as soon as i get on the computer it starts freezing for a few seconds at a time(mabe 10 or 20) with limewire closed and no file transfers in progress.Thjis will go on until I log off of either of the computers.If I open LW the comp will freeze for say 40 -60 seconds at a time for about 5 minutes then if I am lucky it will go to about 10-15 seconds,if im not luck the computer will freeze up completly.As I said before this just started happening the other day and on two of my computers at the same time and with no changes to either computer.I have tried everything that I can possibly think off to fix this problem but nothing has worked.let me know if any thing else will help someone to help me figure out what the heck is the prob.thanx
