LimeWire won't open!
 

I've installed the most recent editions, older editions, uninstalled, reinstalled, installed java, reinstalled java, and tried to run java.

1. LimeWire won't start up or run, I'll double click the Icon, and nothing happens. I've tried going to the folder and opening the application there; still nothing happens.

2. Do I have to manually run java? How does it work? Java's only taken up space on my hard drive. I have no idea how to use it.

Please help me out with this, I've been trying to fix my LimeWire for days. I'm a newbie when it comes to Java and LimeWire. I have absoloutly no idea whats wrong.

Try these 2 things:

Try stepping back to Java 1.4.2 Uninstall Java 1.5 1st by using the add/remove programs control panel. Install Java from your comp, not over the net; ie: downld the installer.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Fixes for Limewire
