I cannot expand my options menu. ie. I cannot make selections. Any ideas? I have just updated to newest version of Limewire, but still no effect.

No idea about your problem. Have you tried re-booting for a start? Did you have the problem before the update? someone might know....

Can you provide a screen print of your problem because it is not clear what you actually mean, i.e. menu options will not open, option menu screen opens but cannot save any selected features, option screen selections greyed out, etc.

Default Limewire Options menu

My apologies to Only A Hobo.
I will try and describe the problem more clearly: when I click on Tools- Options and the options screen appears, it does not open large enough to view the contents. The usual diagonal expand arrow, or maximise icons are not present, so I cannot change my options.

no sweat.. I'm another one who does not always read the instructions very well! laziness mainly....

This might depend on the computer/OS etc you are using, It might help to know. There is no provision on Mac certainly to resize the options screen, but it should take up just iunder 1/4 of your screen. Does this happen with any of your other application's preferences? Possibly you have some sort of incorrect monitor setting which could be the reason. Can't help you more than that I'm afraid .. haven't heard of the problem before.

Someone else might have an idea.

Default Option Screen

Excelox

I have had this problem before, all you have to do is move the Option screen box to the top of your screen, you should now see the full box.

UK Bob

PS. My screen resolution is 800 x 600 (75MHz refresh), this might help.

Default Options screen prob...

Ok, I have just re-installed Limewire from scratch and still have the same problem. I have not encountered this prob with any other applications. I am using max screen res. 1920x1200. I can move the options screen around, but cannot expand due to the reasons previously mentioned. Moving the options screen to the top of the main screen only moves it, and does not expand it (as would normally be expected) I have attached a screen shot as Uk Bob suggested to indicate how much of the options screen is 'cut off'. Thanks anyway!

Default Options Problem

Excelox

I suggest you try changing your screen resolution, also try changing the "View" option in LW.

Default Done!

Thanks Bob! That did it. Didn't like 'Windows Theme' in the view menu for some reason. I selected 'Limewire Theme' and it now works fine. I should have thought of that! Have a good weekend. Shaun.
