Vids play in white on WMP, Why?

I need help all the vids that I download play with this white tint or distored collered on my windos media player.

See CODECs list and alternate players for Movies & consider getting GSpot which will tell you which codecs you need to play a particular video. Also get a backup player such as VLC which has in-built codecs.
