Weird. Songs all sound in high pitch.

The weirdest thing. I have downloaded a few songs and they all sound like they are sung by mice or people sucking in helium.

Does anyone know what's going on and how to rectify it?

I have tried downloading different versions and anyway it happens to completely unrelated tracks/files.
