I can't get the LimeWire window open
 

When I start LimeWire, it prompts me for upgrading to PRO, and the tip of the day and all that, but when I click on it on my taskbar, the window doesn't show up! I've tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but to no avail. What should I do?

Can't Open LimeWire at all
 

Hi, I can't seem to open the program AT ALL. I don't get any response, and the hourglass appears for 2 seconds and forgets that I ever tried to open the program. I have un- and re- installed to no avail. Any suggestions??

@ TheKGMaster, im not sure what your problem is.. maybe someone else on the board can help you. you may want to try Fixes for LimeWire (Click Here) and may ALSO want to try this out, since its the best i can come up with or think of: LW loading blank and how i fixed it. (Click Here)

@ Nia, try installing the offline windows java installation from here: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
if that doesnt help, try doing what i recommened to TheKGMaster.

be SURE you choose the Windows (Offline Installation). its second from the top. this is so you can install it again if needed and dont have to download it again and waste bandwidth. :)

I have the same or a similar problem to Nia. My lime wire program does not open at all too! I had installed Limewire-Pro previously (3.8 I think) and it worked fine until i shut down my computer. The next time i switched it on LW could not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I even tried installing the basic limewire, but it didn't work either. So i left it alone until the new limewire came out and i installed that one. But i am still having the same problems. I checked my firewalls and connection thingys and followed the steps recommended by LW but it still doesn't work...What can I do??!! HELP!!
I use Windows XP.
