my wife didn't read...

I'm using the windows firewall for XP. My wife got a security message while using Limewire and instead of reading it, simply clicked ok and has blocked the connection. I have tried adding Limewire to my list of exceptions, but when running Limewire, it still will not connect. I've tried uninstalling the Limewire program then reinstalling, but it stil won't connect. In an effort to be thorough, I deleted the exceptions when I uninstalled Limewire. Upon the reinstall, I got the typical security messages and allowed Limewire to be unblocked. Sadly, when I launch Limewire, I am still unable to connect. Can anyone tell me how I can restore my Limewire program to the useful status I once enjoyed after I break my wife's fingers to prevent her from blocking me out again!

Thanks for all of your help in this matter.

Thanks but...

Dagam3, that is not the problem I'm having. Thank you for your input. I don't think I could have explained my issue any clearer, I can't seem to turn off the firewall for Limewire.

Thanks again for your reply, I realized after you posed your question about which firewall I was using that the pop up my wife did not read was a message from Norton and not a Windows Firewall issue. I was able to change the settings in my Norton Internet Security and it seems to be working. I did however follow your instructions and set up my properties to include those settings for Windows XP Firewall mentioned in the last link you posted. I appreciate your help!
