1. Uninstall LimeWire
2. Delete ".limewire " folder from C:\WINDOWS\
3. Install latest java
4. Instal Lime Wire

Working?

FWIW, on my XP PC running LW 4.9.28 Pro, the .limewire folder is under C:\Documents and Settings\<login-name>. Maybe some versions of Windows and/or LW put this folder in different places?

I was almost going to suggest this in my 1st post but refrained: Uninstall Java. Then downld Java version 1.4.2 installer to your comp., then install it. Java 1.5 doesn't run well on some people's systems. See a link for Java 1.4.2 from here: Fixes for Limewire But don't install it over the net! Install it from your computer.
