Help with lost files from desktop into shared limewire

This am I was trying to add additional shared file directories to my limewire shared folders. Some how I inadvertantly clicked on my desktop file directory. All of the icons and folders on my desktop disappeared. I'm assuming they went into shared on limewire, not sure. anyway, I am afraid that I am nowsharing my desktop on limewire; NOT GOOD. Where would limewire have stored these files? When I look in the shared category, I cannot now find a shared limewire directory. I cannot find a file within my limeiwire program which is the shared file. PLEASE HELP ME!
