Help please windows media error When I try to open an avi. file in windows mediaplayer, I receive an error message that says "class not registered" It is a version 9.0 and is supposed to have all of the codecs. What am I doing wrong? |
1. I really think that you need a compilation package of various audio and video codecs : "theorica divx codecs" (click here) and download "The Codecs 3.0 - 9x/ME/2000/XP (English)" unzip, install and play your avi's !Try this (I'm using them and there is no avi that I couldn't watch...) 2. If you get the corrupt file message then you need to rebuild the file index...(only for avi's) Look at the last message in his thread... Click Here (is a link to a similar problem) 3. Post a reply so I know if it worked !!! (here on this thread NOT private messages !!!) by doing this you can help other people who are having the same problemes !!! |
I am having a similar problem, but this time with WMP 10.0 I try to play the AVI file and it says "Error ID = 0xC00D1199, Condition ID = 0x00000000" I've tried gspot and it says that it isn't a valid AVI file. Any suggestions? Or is this just a bad file and I need to try to find somewhere else to download it? Thanks! I'm living overseas and DYING to see the fall premires! |
